Parody of “Hey There Delilah” by Plain White Tees
Lyrics by Susie Reed, Susie Markley, Gabe Markley & Peter Markley ;)
Man, we wrote this parody so long ago I had to dig it out of the computer databases bro, and I had to credit myself twice because I wrote them as a Markley and I tweaked them before recording this video... as a Reed. Weird, huh? lol
And man, seriously, thanks to God for that one good take
Lyrics:
Whoa there Delilah What’s it like in New York City I’m a thousand miles away But girl your footsteps they still shake me Yes they do It’s like an earthquake when you come through It’s sad but true
Whoa there Delilah You’re starting to look kind of scary I don’t remember you having so many eyes Or being quite so hairy But like whoa I think it’s something you should know Please let them go
Whoa it’s what you do to me Whoa did you come from ‘neath the sea Just to bother me
Whoa there Delilah I don’t mean to be so cheeky But I’m standing here looking up at you And it’s really really freaky Yes it is Just put that bus down girl gee whiz Don’t hurt those kids
Whoa it’s what you do to me Whoa did you come from ‘neath the sea Whoa it’s what you do to me Whoa please stop this treachery
Girl you have so many arms You’ve broken trains and planes and cars We’d do anything to keep you at bay
You’ve been ravaging the countryside Eating things a mile wide Seems like nuking you may be the only way
Delilah I can promise you That by the time that you stomp through The world may never ever be the same And you’re to blame
Whoa there Delilah you be good and don’t you miss me please I’m packing up my things and leaving this forsaken city You are it all I promise that I’ll never call Or text at all
Whoa it’s what you do to me Whoa please stop this treachery Whoa it’s what you do to me Whoa did you come from ‘neath the sea Just to bother me
